A Spring Pop
Here's my second look at some of spring 2011 looks. This time I was at the MRket NY men's show in New York City. Just a few images of items that stood out in my mind.

First, I was able to find the company, Tokens & Icons, that makes the great recycled golf club bottle openers I wrote about here. The "green girl" in me loves new uses for old things and T&I has managed to make a few pieces (golf and otherwise) I find really great. Like, sterling silver cuff links with a green wood inlay from the old Boston Garden. And cuff links, too, made from recycled golf balls.

Among the other items you'll see here:

  • A look at Abacus' schooldays-inspired spring. Make note of the rugby-style shirt on the right, I've been seeing rugby-logo details all over the place in the past few weeks. We'll see if other golf brands follow the lead here.
  • A rare ... and great ... non-leather option at Mulholland Brothers, a great brand. I love these web belts, especially the two-tone gray one on the left.
  • A blouson jacket by Allegri Tech with a removable quilt vest. You can't see it very well here, but the vest is in a beautiful nude-neutral color.
  • Something more than khakis at Bills Khakis, one of my favorite brands. The Reading, Pa. company makes the greatest khakis and casual trousers I know of with pride and real product integrity built into each pair. The polo on the right (ascot according to your tastes!) is super soft and very easy-wear.

See, I told you there was more of that burnt orange out there for spring. I'm trying to grab more photos in the market in the coming days. Will share what I find. -Annmarie Dodd
